"And it's not new. It's off of one of my records, and I'm very excited to perform it,” the girlfriend of Justin Trudeau quipped.

Notable celebrities who performed at the first opening ceremony in Mexico City were Shakira, Burna Boy, who performed the World Cup’s official song Dai Dai, as well as Alejandro Fernández, Danny Ocean, Lila Downs, Belinda, Maná, J Balvin, and Los Ángeles Azules.

The second ceremony in Toronto will have performances from Michael Bublé, Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, William Prince, Nora Fatehi, Vegedream, Elyanna, Sanjoy, Jessie Reyez, and others.

It is pertinent to mention that the third in Los Angeles will feature stars such as Perry, Rema, Future, Tyla, LISA, Anitta, as well as Dan + Shay, who will sing the national anthem, whereas Purahei Soul has also been tapped to perform the Paraguayan national anthem.
