Jennifer Lopez makes her dating expectations crystal clear
Jennifer Lopez reveals what it will take to date her as she battles rumours linking her with 'Office Romance' costar Brett Goldstein
Jennifer Lopez has revealed that anyone hoping to date her will need to do far more than send a message on social media.
The singer and actress, 56, opened up about her love life during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where host Andy Cohen asked whether she checks her Instagram direct messages. Lopez quickly replied in the negative.
Cohen then joked about whether she might make an exception for “some amazing Spanish soccer player,” but the star insisted that social media is not the way to reach her romantically.
“If somebody really wanted to find me, they could,” Lopez said, before adding, “You’re not going to find me through Instagram or sliding into my DMs. You have to make more of an effort than that.”
The comments come as Lopez continues promoting her new Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance, in which she stars alongside Brett Goldstein. The pair recently laughed off rumours that they were dating during a joint interview on Today.
Lopez joked that people often assume she is romantically linked to anyone she works with, while Goldstein teased that “if you stand near her, that’s what happens.”
The actress was previously married to Ben Affleck. The couple first got together in the early 2000s after meeting on the set of Gigli and became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples under the nickname “Bennifer.”
After ending their first engagement in 2004, the pair reunited nearly two decades later and married in 2022. Their divorce was finalised in January 2025.
