Inside Prince Harry’s pain during Peter Phillips’ wedding: ‘He sees family getting on with their lives’

An insider has just dished on the swirling emotions that overtook Prince Harry while he remained on the other side of the pond, watching his family attend a wedding that he wishes his own children could have been a part of.

The news comes via a well placed source and that insider spoke to New Idea while dishing on the Montecito-based royal’ emotional state.

According to their findings, “Harry put on a brave face at home over the weekend but seeing his closest family all together, happy and getting on with their lives without him is still very painful.”

At this point in time, especially with Lili already being five years old, “Harry desperately wants his children to have some connection to his home country.”

However, still the biggest issue is his wife whose last visit was met with ‘boos’ from the public.

That is why they say “Meghan is still unwilling to make the trip”. As a result “for now, Harry will just watch happy family gatherings from afar.”

However, that is not all because “Harry has never felt more homesick than he did seeing all of Peter’s wedding photos,” the source also said. “Everyone looked so happy on the big day and it particularly stings because Harry was once so close to his cousin.”

As it stands, “the most heart-wrenching part is not just that Harry didn’t make the guest list, but that his children had to miss out on another important family occasion too. If Harry was still in the UK – and not estranged from his royal relatives – there’s every chance that his kids could have been included in the wedding party as a page boy or flower girl. But that wasn’t to be.”

For those unversed this is all due to the overarching family rift that’s been hinted at by many a commentators. According to some even efforts to reconcile have been difficult despite new news emerging that Balmoral might be on the cards for the Sussex children this year, if their father can iron out the details with their grandfather the King.
