John Travolta introduces daughter Ella in 'Propeller One-Way Night Coach'
John Travolta welcomed Ella and her two siblings, Jett and Benjamin, with his late wife, Kelly Preston
John Travolta is all set to introduce his daughter Ella as a movie star to the world.
At the 2026 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, Travolta, along with his daughter Ella, attended the premiere of their upcoming movie Propeller One-Way Night Coach.
For those unaware, the film stars Ella as a flight attendant named Doris, who crosses paths with the protagonist, named Jeff (Clark Shotwell), a young boy, while being on a cross-country flight.
While chatting with PEOPLE magazine at the event on Sunday, May 17, the 72-year-old American actor said giving Doris’ role to his 26-year-old daughter was ultimately “just kismet.”
He added, "Doris is the one that the little boy falls in love with. I said, 'Ella's much more suited for that magical connection that this little boy feels.’ It was serendipitous that all worked out the way it did.”
“And Ella has this screen presence of Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly that I thought, this is what we need for the Doris part because this little boy ... he did, he fell in love.”
“The little boy fell in love with Ella, so there was no acting going on at all. And it gave me a chance also to introduce Ella in the light that I wanted the world to see her because I wanted it to be A Star Is Born, and it really was. It's really evident now. People agree with me on Ella in this movie,” Travolta shared.
Notably, Propeller One-Way Night Coach, directed by John Travolta, is inspired by his love for aviation.
It is pertinent to mention that John Travolta is a trained pilot in addition to being an acclaimed actor and filmmaker.
