Rosie O'Donnell 'feels shameful' about ageing?
Rosie O'Donnell lifts the lid on getting what she once felt strongly against to reverse ageing
Rosie O'Donnell recently opened up about the priciest investment she made for herself.
In a post on Substack on Monday, May 25, the 64-year-old erstwhile American talk show host and comedian revealed that she got a lower deep plane facelift in January of this year and what is the most surprising fact about the procedure is the price tag, as it cost her “more money” than she has “ever paid for a car.”
O'Donnell shared, “My privileged place in this world. And that feels almost shameful to me. The things I have - earned some say, but [it's] the gross excess that wounds me.”
The Harriet the Spy star went on to confess that she had always felt “very strongly about facelifts” and used to take immense pride in being a person who always embraced ageing.
“I thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging. Of our team of women worldwide. And then I lost 50 pounds…,” she penned.
The actual dilemma O'Donnell faced was when she often started to feel inauthentic about being completely against cosmetic procedures.
“There’s a point where acceptance starts to feel like lying,” she noted.
