Halsey, whose real name is Ashley Frangipane, reminisced about how Miley Cyrus left her house party after having a run-in with police.

On the Tuesday, May 26 episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, the 31-year-old American singer-songwriter revealed that one of her house parties was interrupted by police, but what made it memorable was Cyrus’ decision to depart.

Calling to mind, Halsey shared, "The police come... and I'm drunk. They're like, 'We want to talk to the owner of the house.' I'm like, 'Well, I guess that's me cause I just bought the house.’ So I go outside to talk to the police and they're like, 'We got to shut this down.' I'm like, 'No, you don't.'"

She went on to add that the cops were insistent that she was “breaking the law,” which prompted her to ask about the law she was breaking according to them.

The Without Me songstress quipped, "I don't know what happened to me. I switched on. I was like, 'We're operating within the legal sound limit. We're not exceeding fire code. There's no cars parked on the street. And I haven't exceeded the amount of people that I can have in the premises.'"

"I was like, 'So what law am I breaking?' And they were like, 'The law of common sense.' I was like, 'That's not a real law. See you later, officers,’” she told the police.

But when she turned around to resume her enjoyment, Halsey bumped into Cyrus and saw her leaving the house.

"Miley Cyrus is running out the door. She had a bag of Postmates in her hand. She's like, 'Got to go, girl. Got to go.' Running away,” the Colors hitmaker recalled.
