Taylor Swift earned one of The Beatles' biggest compliments from Paul McCartney
Paul McCartney has drawn comparisons between modern pop superstardom and the height of Beatlemania.
The superstar believes that Taylor Swift has reached that rare level of global fame.
In an interview with BBC Sounds, the legendary musician reflected on his years touring with The Beatles and was asked whether he would offer an advice to Swift as she navigates worldwide success.
McCartney admitted that he sees clear similarities between Swift's fame and The Beatles' popularity in 1960s.
He said, "You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame."
"The worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had, but I don't think she needs any advice to tell you the truth," McCartney noted.
About the advice he would offer to the Lover hitmaker, McCartney said, "If she asked for it, I definitely would. I'm like the older brother to that generation, or more like the grandad, actually."
Furthermore, Paul McCartney shared the he has met Taylor Swift and other artists including Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter. "They're really cool people, they're very good," he said. Noting that he like "their voices."
"If they need any advice, yeah, I would be happy to give it, but I don't think they do," McCartney added.
