Katie Price’s husband, Lee Andrews, is reportedly being held in prison in Dubai, his father has claimed after days since his disappearance.

While the model has been fearing that something serious had happened to her husband as she had not heard from since last week, her father-in-law, Peter, has now confirmed that his son is alive and currently under arrest in the UAE.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Peter said he believes Lee is being detained by authorities in Dubai, although he does not know the exact reason.

“Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped, but he is under arrest,” Peter reportedly said. He added that he was unsure where his son was being held but expected to hear from him later in the day.

Katie, 47, married Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews earlier this year, only days after meeting him in person for the first time. Their relationship has already faced public scrutiny, including concerns about Andrews’ academic claims after the University of Cambridge reportedly challenged his statement that he earned a PhD there.

Before the reported arrest, Andrews was supposed to board a flight from Dubai to the UK, where he was expected to appear with Katie on Good Morning Britain. Katie later claimed authorities in Dubai could not locate him in any police station or prison.

She previously said the Criminal Investigation Department in Dubai had been trying to find him, but there appeared to be no official record of his detention. Because of that, she feared he may have been abducted.

In a YouTube video shared on May 16, Katie said she last spoke to Andrews during a FaceTime call while he was allegedly inside a van. She claimed he appeared distressed and said people were “coming back” for him. Katie also alleged his hands were tied and that he was wearing a hood.

The UK Foreign Office has confirmed it is supporting the family of a British man in Dubai and remains in contact with local authorities regarding the case.

Katie had also recently said she'd step back on the matter and leave it to the officials to find Lee, but then released a song on May 22 in honour of her missing husband. The song is a cover of Get Here, originally released in 1988 by Brenda Russell. She said the lyrics reflected her situation and feelings.
