Trump issues new chilling warning to Iran: 'Clock is ticking'
Trump's latest post is seen as a mode to ramp up pressure on Iran
President Trump issued an aggressive warning toward Iran, in a bid to escalate the pressure, stating Tehran has little time to act or else it will face the music.
In a brief yet threatening post on Truth Social, he writes, “For Iran, the clock is ticking, and they better get moving FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!” Trump wrote, signing the message President DJT".
The new post also tapped into Trump's previous threat about wiping out a "whole civilization" if Iran did not agree on a deal.
The post came at a tense moment in the region as the White House mounted pressure on Tehran as prospects of a deal remained stalled.
On the other hand, the Iranian media reported that so far the US had not made any workable concession.
Regarding Iran's demands, foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stressed they were "responsible and generous".
Meanwhile, Trump and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a phone call on the Iran matter.
The war on Iran by Israel and the US began with huge air strikes on Feb. 28.
