Elon Musk’s son, Lil X, has sparked a fashion craze worldwide, especially on e-commerce stores during high-stakes President Trump and Xi Jinping 2026 summit.

The online frenzy started when the 6-year-old son was seen wearing the traditional Chinese style vest and handmade embroidered tiger-head bag at the Great Hall of the People on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

The teen's video surfaced when Musk posted it with the caption “My son is learning Mandarin.” The video took the internet by storm as netizens appreciated Lil X for his style and grace with which he was wearing the outfit.

Later, Shen Shiwei, a Chinese journalist, reposted Elon Musk's post on X, captioning, “What caught people's attention was that the little boy was dressed in a Chinese-style vest and carrying a tiger-head bag when he was spotted at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing during a summit between the Chinese and US presidents.”

According to the Xinhua News agency, the Chinese state-media, the traditional bag is designed by ethnic minority artisans in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Soon after the video went viral, the sales of the tiger-head doubled as stated by the manager. Now the bag is sold at CNY 338 (US$47).

The design of the tiger-head represents China's cultural heritage inspired by a traditional tiger-head doll.

Shen Shiwei also posted about how the Chinese-style vest and tiger-head bag are now trending on e-commerce stores.

The tailored light blue vest is suggested to be made in silk, with a price of 970 CNY (US$142.9).
