Blake Lively pays 'horrendous cost' to her reputation: ‘It’s hard to imagine how she’ll bounce back’

Months after a lengthy court battle that ended with Blake Lively settling with Justin Baldoni has sparked quite a bit of intrigue among Hollywood. But even more so was her Met Gala 2026 appearance its said, because “it wasn’t easy for her to turn up at the Met Gala with so many people talking about the lawsuit, and how she had to throw in the towel.”

While talking to Heat World a source even said, “No one would dare say anything to her face, but there were plenty of comments behind her back. Hollywood is a very catty place, so people have been sharpening their claws and Blake knows it.”

But through all this its said “Blake is clinging to the one positive – that this nightmare is finally over and she can move on with her life – but the reality is that she’s in a scary place right now. The settlement has come at a horrendous cost to her reputation – she’s worried she may never recover. People have been saying she’s now unhireable.”

“She and Ryan are still very wealthy, but she’s massively out of pocket. It’s hard to imagine how she’ll bounce back from this.”

For those unversed, the documentation, the court papers all of it has cost Blake over $161million and with the settlement having been out of court, with no payment or apology in sight “is a very bitter pill for her to swallow,” the source explained.

Moreover, there’s also her personal reasoning’s because “Blake really wanted to take this all the way to court,” and “she never imagined it would come to this,” they admitted.

Its gotten to a point now that “friends are telling her to give it time and that people will forget about it before long, but that’s easier said than done.”

The only bright side in the eyes of the source is that “she’s avoided a trial that would have cost even more money, but it’s a demoralising outcome. There’s some solace in the fact she didn’t have to pay Justin anything and she avoided anything more damaging coming out in court, but it’s far from the big victory she was aiming for.”
