Xbox Game Pass May 2026: 12 new games announced
From DOOM prequel to cozy van life: Forza Horizon 6 headlines 12+ titles launching on Xbox Game Pass this May
Microsoft has revealed its Game Pass lineup for May 2026, with 12 new titles launching throughout the month. The roster will be headlined by Forza Horizon 6, arriving May 19 as a day-one Game Pass addition.
This comes following the transition period of Xbox, led by Xbox’s new CEO, Asha Sharma, who has already reduced the cost of Game Pass Ultimate to $22.99 per month. In addition to this, she also confirmed that major gaming series like Call of Duty will wait one year before joining the service.
Xbox Game Pass May 2026
The May calendar will be dominated by Forza Horizon 6, which will arrive on Game Pass on May 19 to bring the racing festival to Japan with 550 vehicles and an expansive open world to explore.
The same day will see the launch of DOOM: The Dark Ages, which is a mediaeval prequel that will explore the Slayer's origins before the series' futuristic setting.
Subnautica 2 will become available to players as a game preview on May 14, which will introduce four-player cooperative underwater survival on an alien ocean world. The month will start with these three releases which will provide sufficient reason to resume subscription payments.
Microsoft is not relying exclusively on its AAA games to complete its May schedule. The mixtape release on May 7 will present a coming-of-age story which uses 1980s nostalgia and a selected soundtrack to tell its narrative. The game Outbound will launch on May 11, which lets players create their own vans to live off the grid.
Call of the Elder Gods will arrive May 12 as a Lovecraftian puzzle sequel, and Black Jacket will debut the same day, reimagining blackjack as a high-stakes moral arena. The different tones in this project show how Microsoft wants to make Game Pass more attractive to players who prefer different types of games than action titles.
May will kick off early with Final Fantasy 5 on May 5. A dense May 6 launch will introduce Ben 10 Power Trip and Wildgate to all subscribers, while games like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Descenders Next will move to the Premium tier.
