DJ Khaled gets candid on weight loss journey: 'Slim Jim'
DJ Khaled has shared his approach to shedding some pounds
DJ Khaled is opening up about his health journey.
In a new interview with PEOPLE Magazine, the music mogul revealed that walking between seven and 11 miles a day, along with playing golf without a cart, has played a major role in his weight loss.
“Right now they call me ‘Slim Jim.' I can't wait to tell the world how much is coming off of me,” he said. “I'm sculpting greatness.”
Khaled explained that his routine is rooted in consistency and discipline, starting early each morning.
“I've been working out, but at the same time I've been eating better. I've been more focused. And it's really protecting my happiness and the blessings,” he shared.
“You can see it. You can see the glow. You can see it in the hairline. You can see it. I live it. I walk it, I talk it. You know what I'm saying? It's life.”
Detailing his daily routine, he added:
“What I do is I play 18 holes of golf — with no golf cart though. So 18 holes, that's about six to seven miles where I play at. And sometimes I double it up.
“But I wake up at six, seven in the morning. So by the time I'm done golfing and walking, walking and golfing, everybody's still hugging their pillow, putting slob over it."
"And it's about 10:30, 11:00 when I get done. I already put in the work. And then I go back and run the empire. You know what I'm saying? We the best.”
