George Clooney shared how he readlly feels after scoring a major earn
George Clooney has gotten candid about the reality of being honored and shared why it is not as glamorous as it looks.
Speaking with PEOPLE Magazine at the 51st Chaplin Award gala in New York City on April 27, the Oscar winner, who attended the event alongside his wife, Amal Clooney, admitted that being the center of attention can feel a little uncomfortable.
For the unversed, the annual gala, hosted by Film at Lincoln Center, celebrates significant contributions to cinema and is named after Charlie Chaplin, its first honoree in 1972.
“You drink, I think,” Clooney joked when asked how he prepares for such events.
“It’s awkward — a little bit embarrassing, if you want to know the truth. But it’s fun,” he added.
Furthermore, Clooney admitted that he often looks to his wife for guidance, though not necessarily for red carpet advice.
“No, she does not give me pointers on this, but in general, I defer to her for almost any smart answers,” he said in conclusion.
