Megan Thee Stallion announces breakup with Klay Thompson amid cheating allegations
The rapper and the NBA were in a relationship for less than a year
Megan Thee Stallion is back to her single era after she has announced her split from her boyfriend Klay Thompson.
The 31-year-old rapper, who dated the NBA player for less than a year, revealed her split news on April 25 and claimed that Klay cheated on her.
The Grammy winner told E! News, "I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay.
"Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward."
Sharing her plans ahead of the break up, Megan noted she is going to put herself first.
"I'm taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity," she continued.
The statement came just a few hours after Megan posted a cryptic post about "cheating" on her Instagram account.
The Savage rapper wrote on her Stories, "Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house... got 'cold feet.' Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous'????"
"Bitch I need a REAL break after this one ..bye yall," she concluded.
Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson started dating last summer and confirmed their romance in July 2025.
They made their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation gala in New York City.
