Emily Blunt reveals how daughter got into 'Devil Wears Prada'
The actress shares two daughters, Hazel and Violet, with her husband John Krasinski
Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski's daughters watched 2006's Devil Wears Prada after peer pressure and now they can't wait to see the new sequel.
During a recent chat with E! News, the 43-year-old actress revealed that her daughters Hazel, 12, and Violet, nine, watched the hit fashion movie almost a year ago.
Emily said, "My kids saw it for the first time maybe a year or so ago, and partly because their friends are very into it.
"And then my kids again watched it last night because they know they're going to see this one soon, and they just love it."
When asked what her husband John's reaction was when he found out she would be doing the sequel too, the doting wife said, "He loves it, and he's a massive fan of the first movie. So he was thrilled. The kids were thrilled."
It is pertinent to mention that Emily and John tied the knot back in 2010 and welcomed daughter Hazel in 2014 and Violet in 2016.
The original cast of Devil Wears Prada including Emily, Ann Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Meryl Streep have reunited for the upcoming sequel of the fashion film, set to hit theaters on May 2.
Emily Blunt is reprising her role as Emily Charlton, Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, and Ann Hathaway as Andy Sachs.
The film, per Variety, follows the story of Miranda “as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestley desperately needs.”
