The singer was arrested for driving under the influence back in March
Britney Spears is looking after her health after her DUI arrest.
The pop singer, who was taken into custody after driving under the influence in California last month, by choice checked herself into a treatment facility, as a spokesperson for Britney revealed to E! News.
A source told TMZ, "She realizes she hit rock bottom."
It is pertinent to mention that Spears has had issues with drugs.
While the outlet suggested that the reason behind entering a rehab is stemming from her pending DUI case
A second insider claimed, "She knows strategically this will look good in front of the judge -- that she's taking it seriously."
Spears was arrested on March 4 after 9 pm local time and was released the next morning, according to the police records.
At the time, sources told the outlet after Spears was arrested on DUI charges that “this was an unfortunate incident" and "is completely inexcusable."
"Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life."
"Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time, the source added.
