Luke Hemsworth goes unfiltered about working with his brothers: 'One of us is incredibly in demand'

Luke Hemsworth says teaming up with his famous brothers Chris Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth at the same won't be easy.

The 45-year-old actor also gave an explanation for it when he opened up on the matter recently in a new interview. “I would love to do something,” Luke told E! News, when asked if he'd be up for a collaboration with his younger brothers. “We’ve talked about it a lot. I think we all just need to find the right project.”

However, he pointed out that the timing would be the biggest obstacle in bringing them on-camera together. “We need to get Chris booked in about two years in advance,” he quipped with a laugh, “He’s incredibly in demand.”

Luke, who has already starred in a project with the youngest brother, Liam, in Land of Bad, said he was hopeful that a collaboration between all three brothers could also eventually happen if the right opportunity arises.

“So if anyone wants to write something, then please, please come and see us,” he added. 

The Gunner star, who shares daughters Holly, 16, Ella, 15, and Harper, 13, as well as son Alexandre, 12, with wife Samantha Hemsworth, also said his kids have “all shown some sort of interest” in acting.

However, Luke said he wasn't ready to let his children enter the spotlight. “The youngest one keeps telling me that she wants to be an actor and I keep trying to discourage it as much as I can,” he admitted. 

In his defense, he wants them to gain more life experience before pursuing a career in the industry.

“I want them to do whatever they want to do. I want them to be happy. And if that's what makes them happy, then great,” he continued. "But I also want them to get a bit more life experience."

The actor is currently promoting his upcoming film Beast, set for release on April 10, in which he stars alongside Russell Crowe. 

Beast is an MMA action-drama that encircles the life of Patton James (Daniel MacPherson), a former champion turned fisherman forced out of retirement to save his younger brother, who is in danger. Reunited with his old coach (Russell Crowe), James faces a brutal title-holder (Bren Foster) to redeem his legacy and secure his family's safety.
