Britney Spears' ex lawyer breaks silence on singer's DUI arrest
Britney Spears was detained by the California Highway Patrol on March 4 in Ventura County on suspicion of DUI
Britney Spears' ex-lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, has finally broken the silence on the singer's DUI arrest.
For those unversed, the pop sensation was detained by the California Highway Patrol on March 4 in Ventura County on suspicion of DUI.
Mathew previously represented the singer during her 2021 conservatorship case.
"It was my great honor to work with and protect Britney as her litigator and I will always be proud of her and the work we did together," he told Daily Mail.
The lawyer further said, "Ranging from helping, at her request and direction, to restore her freedom, civil rights, and civil liberties after a 13 year conservatorship that stripped her of those rights, to many other matters."
Mathew then told the publication that Britney "is and will always be an icon."
"While I do not have the facts concerning March 4, with freedom comes responsibility, and I was pleased to see that Britney will take the right steps and comply with the law," he continued. "I'll always care greatly about her and support her in any way I can."
It is pertinent to mention that Mathew worked closely with Britney amid the battle to end her 13-year conservatorship.
He later helped the Baby One More Time singer land a deal to release a tell-all book, The Woman In Me.
