King Charles backs efforts for sustainable future at latest event as uncertainty looms over royal future

King Charles on Thursday attended the second annual Sustainable Markets Initiative Exhibition and Reception, said a statement issued by Buckingham Palace on Friday.

The statement said, "His Majesty viewed exhibits displaying real-world innovations developed by industries, including sustainable textiles, carbon capture models and energy efficient building materials."

It added, "Launched in 2020 by His Majesty, the Sustainable Markets Initiative aims to support the global transition to a sustainable future."

As the king supports the efforts for a sustainable future, his own family's future remains under discussion after the monarchy came under intense scrutiny over his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's links to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew was recently arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The former prince is accused of sharing sensitive government information with Epstein while working as the UK's trade envoy.

Meanwhile, anti-monarchy activists continue to protest against King Charles and future king, Prince William, for what they call the royal family's failure to act against Andrew.
