Christina Applegate makes rare confession about what inspires her to keep going in life
Christina Applegate opened up about her condition after her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
Christina Applegate has gotten candid about a heartbreaking but honest glimpse into her daily life.
The Hollywood star has offered an insight at how life has taken a turn since being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
The 54-year-old actress, who went public with her diagnosis in 2021, admitted that the condition has dramatically changed her routine and energy levels.
Speaking to People Magazine, the Hollywood star shared that the only thing that gets her out of bed is spending time with her 15-year-old daughter, Sadie."I want to take her [to school]; it's my favourite thing to do. It's the only time we have together by ourselves," she said.
"I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that's what I do,"she continued.
Applegate didn't sugarcoat the reality of living with the disease either, admitting the frustration and how her life right now "isn't wrapped up with a bow."
"People's lives, sorry for lack of a better term, f****** suck sometimes. So I'm being as honest and raw as I possibly can," she concluded.
Despite the challenges, the actress has been trying to keep herself engaged into something meaningful. Earlier this month, she launched a new online platform called Next in MS, designed to give people living with the condition a space to share their stories and support one another.
The platform writes, "Living with multiple sclerosis isn't easy."
Christina Applegate has never been shy about the harsh circumstances. She has been open about the pain, the fatigue, even the parts that are difficult to say out loud.
"That's why Christina is starting a different conversation... one where we can talk openly, ask tough questions, seek difficult answers, and navigate complex paths forward, together."
Applegate has high expectations that the platform will help her to build a safe space for people living with MS and build a thoughtful community around the illness.
The platform writes, "As Christina begins the next chapter of her MS journey, she's inviting you to come along for the ride…and she's not holding back."
"What will Christina discover next...?", the platform reads.
"Catch a glimpse of what Christina is learning as she explores the next chapter of her journey with MS , the good, the bad, the ugly. Watch the “Next In MS” trailer below, and don't forget to sign up above."
