Sarah Ferguson faces painful choice between peace, family bond
Sarah Ferguson torn over future as Australia move clashes with family ties
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly facing a painful choice as she considers moving to Australia after being stripped of her royal ties and residence.
However, a source claimed the former Duchess of York is not ready to leave her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and her grandchildren, and live in another country.
An insider told Radar Online that Fergie feels worn down and diminished by life in Britain and is focused on protecting her emotional well-being.
Adding to the worried is her fear of Australia’s wildlife, particularly snakes, which is making the choice more difficult, noted the insider.
"Sarah feels torn," the insider said. "Her identity now is bound up with her daughters and grandchildren, and the idea of putting an ocean between them is genuinely painful."
They continued, "Protecting her well-being has to come first. But that doesn't make the decision to leave her family any easier."
"Status no longer matters. What Sarah wants is peace – but even the promise of refuge has to compete with a fear she's carried for decades."
This comes after an insider said Ferguson may move to Australia with her sister’s help but her fear of snakes could hold her back.
Fergie has long liked the idea of living there, but sources revealed she is genuinely scared of Australia’s wildlife.
