Billie Eilish’s first concert movie release location revealed
In Billie Eilish's 3D concert film, James Cameron serves as the director
Billie Eilish has several hit tours; while her ongoing show, Hit Me Hard and Soft, is one of them, a movie about it is set to screen in Thai theatres on March 20, 2026.
Visionary filmmaker James Cameron directs the film, which marks the pop icon’s first concert movie.
The Grammy winner also serves as co-director; together, they will bring attention from music and film circles.
Moreover, it was shot in 3D by the auteur, which will give viewers rich insight into Billie's live performances and behind-the-scenes footage never seen before.
Also, given James' pursuit of finding new ways of filmmaking, this concert movie apparently just provided him with the platform. As he previously teased in the trailer, "We’re using tech that’s never been used before."
Beyond the immersion, Billie's forthcoming 3D tour film will offer a personal look at her career after her first performance onstage without her long-time collaborator, brother Finneas.
The film's logline read, "Captured during her sold-out world tour, BILLIE EILISH – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) brings an innovative new concert experience to the big screen from one of the most celebrated and successful artists of her generation."
