Gayle King clears the air about her love life
Gayle King previously issued an statement about speculations regarding her secret engagement
Gayle King is clearing the air about her love life, and making it clear she has not given up on finding her own happily ever after.
During a conversation at TIME magazine's A Year in TIME event, the veteran journalist revealed that she remains hopeful when it comes to love.
In the candid exchange, the CBS Mornings co-host shared that she is still “looking” for her own "great love story."
Her comments come just weeks after King was forced to publicly shut down engagement rumours that spiraled online due to AI-generated images falsely suggesting a major change in her relationship status.
Addressing the speculation during a CBS Mornings broadcast in October, King said she had been inundated with messages following the viral images.
"Been getting a lot of texts, a lot of messages, stories online that I got engaged," she explained at the time.
The Note to Self author admitted the situation became particularly awkward as congratulatory messages poured in from well-wishers celebrating a romance that didn’t exist.
"People have been saying, 'Congratulations,' 'Love really happened to you,' 'I'm so happy for you,'" King revealed.
She later poked fun at the rumours, adding with a laugh, "Take a look at me with a big ring on my finger. There's a lucky man — I have no idea who he is."
