Charlie Puth speaks out after Elon Musk's rocket noise frightens pregnant wife
The singer voiced concern as Elon Musk’s rockets disturb home
Charlie Puth has a complaint to Elon Musk.
The 34-year-old singer took to his official X account on August 10 and posted a special note for the SpaceX founder, calling him out for the noise of Elon's rocket launch project located near Charlie's home in Santa Barbara, California.
"Hi @elonmusk …these sonic booms have gotten progressively louder since they started launching the rockets in Santa Barbara," Charlie wrote on X.
"This one at 3am today felt like 150-160 dB, violently shook our whole house, and really frightened my pregnant wife. I hope they do not get louder :/," he added.
The 54-year-old businessman has not responded yet, but a pre-notice before the rocket launch was issued by the official SpaceX website, warning that the high sonic sound could affect some areas near the rocket launch area.
The statement read, "On Wednesday, December 10 at 3:40 a.m. PT, Falcon 9 launched 27 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California."
"This was the 18th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, NROL-145, and now 15 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which was stationed in the Pacific Ocean," they continued.
SpaceX's statement concluded, "There was a possibility that residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may have heard one or more sonic booms during the launch, but what residents experienced depended on weather and other conditions."
