Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly begun gearing up for their long-awaited wedding, and they are already receiving some high-value advice from a legend.

According to Us Weekly, Magic Johnson offered the pair his best marriage wisdom while speaking at the annual Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Award Gala in New York on Tuesday, December 9.

“Well, I think, No. 1 is [to] remember who you fell in love with and don’t try to change them,” Johnson, 66, shared.

Moreover, Johnson, originally named Earvin “Magic” Johnson Jr., added that his next piece of guidance would be to “keep the line of communication open.”

“Even if you disagree about something, never go to bed upset at each other. So, work it out,” the former basketball star explained, noting that he and his wife, Cookie Johnson, make sure to resolve any tension before turning in for the night.

Wrapping up his advice, Magic emphasized the importance of keeping the romance alive, “Don’t forget date night because a lot of times when kids come or you’re working your job, the thing that you fell in love with from that person, you were going out, you were having a good time on your date nights.”
