Toni Collette is gushing over sharing the big screen with Kate Winslet in their new movie Goodbye June.
In a recent chat with People, Collette opened up about working with Winslet in a film after years of manifestations.
"Dream come true. I've been saying it for years as well," Collette said of Winlet to the outlet during a special screening of their film in New York.
As the film also marked Winlet's directional debut, Collette went on to say, "I mean, it was more than I even expected because I thought we'd just act together. But when someone chooses you to be a part of their directorial debut, that's a big deal. That's a total honor."
"And she's such a good director. I mean, it's no surprise. We all knew she would be, but she really is," Collette praised Winslet's directorial skills.
"It was just the most beautiful set, such an incredible atmosphere, such an incredible sense of trust and freedom. And she's so generous, and kind, and grounded, and funny. And honestly, none of us wanted it to end," she added.
Earlier in 2016, Winslet shared the same sentiments about working with Collette in a panel discussion with The Hollywood Reporter.
The synopsis of Goodbye June reads, "(a family faced) an unexpected turn in their mother’s health thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential lossBut their quick-witted mother, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms — with biting humour, blunt honesty, and a lot of love."
