Jessica Simpson plans her return to 'The Bachelorette' for one particular reason

Jessica Simpson is reportedly planning her return to the upcoming season of The Bachelorette amid her divorce from Eric Johnson.

For those unaware, the 54-year-old American singer and actress first tied the knot with singer Nick Lachey on October 26, 2002, and announced their separation in November 2005, while their divorce was finalized on June 30, 2006.

Her second marriage was to erstwhile NFL player Johnson, which lasted for almost 11 years, from July 2014 to January 2025. The couple have filed for divorce, which has yet to be finalized.

Radar Online reported that Simpson is desperate to hook up after two divorces and is eager to try her luck in the next season of The Bachelorette.

However, an insider told the outlet that the mother of three has failed in her search for a new partner despite spending a hefty amount on cosmetic procedures and travelling across the globe to find a perfect match for her.

The revealed, "Hooking up with gigolo types is all well and good, but Jessica wants way more than that. She'd like to be romanced, and to document her new dating journey on camera would be a dream come true."

"She's a huge fan of the Bachelor franchise and truly believes she'd bring a lot of credibility and ratings to the table if they give her a shot,” the source claimed. “Jessica has made no secret of her wish to return to TV. She's been hitting up the Kardashians for advice and schmoozing with streaming honchos to figure out the right pathway and plotline.”

"Her life is so busy right now – she's got so much on the go careerwise as well as raising the kids with Eric. But she thrives on being super active and busy, and right now her number one priority is having fun in her life and climbing back on the dating horse,” the insider stated.
