Meghan Markle did not tell the whole truth after her spokesperson issued a statement that the Duchess has reached out to her father Thomas Markle following his major surgery.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Thomas Markle says “Duchess HASN'T called him after 'life or death' leg amputation”
Commenting on it, royal expert Rob Shuter has said multiple sources have told him “Meghan Markle has not spoken directly with her father and currently has no plans to visit Thomas Markle, despite recent speculation that a reunion might be unfolding behind the scenes.”
A royal insider said, “Nothing has changed. Meghan is not planning a trip. Not now.”
The expert said, “And her much-publicized PR line? It wasn’t the whole story.”
He said Meghan’s team released a carefully worded statement: “I can confirm she has reached out to her father.”
“Notice how they didn’t say they had spoken — because they have not,” Rob said.
The royal insiders further insisted “reached out” does not mean Meghan personally spoke to Thomas.
“Instead, I’m told her representatives contacted him on her behalf — a very deliberate distinction not made in the official statement,” the expert said.
Another insider said, “To be clear, Meghan and her father have NOT spoken or communicated directly yet.”
Meanwhile, Meghan’s father Thomas Markle, who has undergone major surgery to amputate his left leg and is currently in intensive care, got emotional as he wants to meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet.
Thomas Markle said, "I've always said I am open to reconciling with my daughter. I have never stopped loving her. I don't want to die estranged from Meghan. I want to meet my grandkids. It might be nice to meet her husband too."
He further said, "Of course I want to speak to her but I am not sure if these are the right circumstances.”
