Gwyneth Paltrow forgets Tom Holland's Spider-Man again?
Gwyneth Paltrow previously also revealed she forgot that she was in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'
There is a running joke among MCU fans about Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts, that she often forgets details about the comic franchise.
This was the latest put on display when her co-star Robert Downey Jr., her on-screen partner in the Marvel movies, roasts her while presenting her the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment gala in Los Angeles.
During his speech, he playfully recalls Gwyneth once forgetting who Tom Holland is and what role he plays in the MCU.
“Who’s that?” the Academy-winning actress asks her fellow actor, leading him to say, “That’s Spider-Man. He said his name was Peter. His character’s name is Peter. He’s Tom Holland. You’ve done four movies with him.”
Gwyneth herself previously admitted that she had forgotten she had starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming. “One time I didn’t realize I was in Spider-Man. I was like doing a scene with Robert and Jon Favreau, so I thought it was a cameo,” she told Vanity Fair in 2019.
“They’re like, ‘It’s another…’ Anyway. And it turned out I was in Spider-Man and I didn’t even realize," the actress concluded.
