Goldie Hawn cries remembering late co-star Diane Keaton: 'She can't be gone'
Diane Keaton died on October 11 at the age of 79
Goldie Hawn couldn't contain her emotions as she recalled her friendship with her former co-star Diane Keaton.
During the Women in Entertainment Gala at The Beverly Hills Hotel, the 80-year-old actress paid a tearful tribute to Diane - who breathed her last on October 11.
"She just brought so much joy, so much life, so much exuberance. She was like lightning in a bottle," Goldie said, in a clip shared by THR.
The Overboard actress further said, "There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do. There wasn't any world that she couldn't live in. She was just an extraordinary human being."
Recalling the moment she found out that Diane had died, Goldie said, "Then, came time when she passed, I happened to learn when I was in my backyard, and I went over to my backyard to my rose garden."
"I just looked down. She can't be gone. She just cannot be gone. No one like that should ever die," she added.
For those unversed, Goldie starred alongside Diane in the comedy film, The First Wives Club.
It is pertinent to mention that Diane passed away on October 11 from pneumonia. She was 79.
