Billy Crudup details the trait that made him choose Naomi Watts
Billy Crudup opened up about the moment he knew his now-wife Naomi Watts was the one.
In a recent chat on SiriusXM’s Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the 57-year-old actor looked back at the time when he was getting to know Watts while they were filming for the new 2017 Netflix series Gypsy.
“Obviously the pressure of doing those kinds of shows can reveal a lot about how somebody navigates their life, professional life, personal life, et cetera,” Billy replied to Kelly when she asked about when he fell in love with Naomi.
“We just had a lot in common,” he noted.
Billy then listed the traits he observed in Naomi when they were at the set together.
“And her way of managing the set, the crew, the writing, the other actors, it was unusual. She's an incredibly hard worker, but has crazy resilience and additionally is very compassionate about the other people who work around her," Billy gushed over Naomi.
“Typically, you can be really generous because you don't really care, you're not working so hard. You can be applicable on set because you've got other things to do. [Or] you can work really hard and put so much pressure on yourself that you make the people around you miserable," he further explained.
The duo later tied the knot in 2023.
