Princess Beatrice, Eugenie sidelined by royals at Windsor Castle event?

While it's not unusual for some royal family members to miss high-profile events, the absence of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie from the German president's welcome at Windsor Castle has raised some questions in the minds of foreign royal fans.

King Charles III on Wednesday welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife at the start of his three-day state visit to Britain.

Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, greeted the president and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, in Windsor before they took part in a carriage procession to Windsor Castle along with the king's son, Prince William, and his wife, Kate.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were also present during the occasion.

Fans, unaware of the ways of the royal family, speculated that Beatrice and Eugenie's absence might be linked to their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who recently lost his remaining royal titles over his links to former sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

However, the presence of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's daughters at such events is rare because they're not working members of the royal family.

The sisters focus more on events that align with their individual interests and charitable work.

And it was not the first time they were absent from the welcoming ceremony held in honor of a foreign guest.

Beatrice and Eugenie were also absent when the royal family received US President Donald Trump in a similar ceremony earlier this year.
