Buckingham Palace highlights Prince William, Kate key role as German President's visit begins
King Charles and Queen Camilla formally welcomed the President and the First Lady at the Royal Dais
Buckingham Palace has highlighted the key royal of Prince William and Kate Middleton as German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Budenbender arrived on three-day state visit to UK.
The palace shared the photos of King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton with the visiting dignitaries on social media handles, saying “The King and Queen, and The Prince and Princess of Wales, have welcomed The Federal President of Germany and Ms. Büdenbender to Windsor Castle.”
The message was also shared in German language.
Meanwhile, sharing the details, the palace said on its official website the Federal President, accompanied by Büdenbender are currently in the UK for a State Visit, as the guests of the King and Queen.
The palace also shared the key role of William and Kate Middleton and said, “On arrival into the United Kingdom, The Federal President and Ms. Büdenbender were greeted by The Prince and Princess of Wales, on behalf of His Majesty The King, at Heathrow Airport before travelling to Windsor.”
As per details, the King and Queen formally welcomed the President and the First Lady at the Royal Dais, on Datchet Road, Windsor, as a Royal Salute was fired in the Home Park in Windsor, and at the Tower of London.
The President and Ms. Büdenbender then joined the King and Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, in a carriage procession to Windsor Castle.
The President, accompanied by the King, inspected the Guard of Honour, before rejoining the Queen and Ms. Büdenbender, together with the Prince and Princess of Wales, to view the military Rank and March past.
