Amy Schumer puts Chris Fischer split rumors to rest
Chris Fischer and Amy Schumer tied the knot in February 2018
Amy Schumer has set the record straight about her marriage to Chris Fischer.
In an Instagram update, the comedian addressed ongoing speculation about a split, assuring fans that her relationship with the chef remains intact despite recent chatter.
Schumer and Fischer, who tied the knot in February 2018 just months after being linked in late 2017, share a son, Gene David, born in 2019.
“Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism,” Schumer wrote, offering a candid note alongside a broader update about her health journey.
“Fingers crossed we make it through,” she added. “He’s the best.”
Rumors of tension between the couple have circulated for weeks. On November 6, in the midst of breakup whispers, Schumer posted a brief message to her Instagram Stories confirming she and Fischer were “still married.”
A few days later, a source told PEOPLE Magazine that the pair has been “privately working through normal issues that couples in long-term marriages have.”
“They are both committed to the relationship,” the insider said.
