Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds’s camaraderie is very much alive and thriving.
On Monday, December 1, Jackman received the first Gotham Musical Tribute honor alongside his Song Sung Blue costar Kate Hudson.
During his acceptance remarks at the Gothams 2025 Film Awards ceremony in New York City, he said, "Thank you! Thank you so much. This is so cool, and something to make Ryan Reynolds insanely jealous. I love it."
The two have had a friendly feud over the years. It began when Reynolds was married to Jackman's friend and costar Scarlett Johansson. The duo were then working on X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
"I used to ream him because I was very close friends with Scarlett, and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set I was like, 'Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I'm watching,'" Jackman shared in 2020.
"And we started ribbing each other that way, and then it all escalated with the Deadpool thing and him calling me out, and trying to manipulate me through social media to do what he wanted."
The went on to star together in 2024 megahit Deadpool & Wolverine.
Meanwhile, Jackman plays Mike Sardina alongside Kate, who plays Claire Stengl in Song Sung Blue. The film is based on the the real-life couple who formed the Neil Diamond tribute band, Lightning and Thunder.
Song Sung Blue hits theaters Dec. 25.
