Amy Schumer shares the real reason behind major weight loss
Amy Schumer gives major health update
Amy Schumer has finally addressed comments about her weight loss.
On Monday, the actress revealed that she did not lose 50 pounds to look good, but instead to "survive" her disease.
Taking to Instagram, Amy posted a video clip, filmed by her son Gene, whom she shares with husband Chris Fischer.
The text over the video clarified questions about Amy's weight loss journey. She revealed that she doesn't go to botox or fillers and despite reports suggesting that she lost 30lbh, she actually lost 50. "Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive," Amy wrote.
Seemingly referring to Cushing Syndrome, the actress explained, "I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared."
"Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight," she noted.
Furthermore, Amy also remarked on her perimenopause, which she revealed in 2024, stating, "Happy to share if anyone has any questions about how I'm looking or feeling or where I am in my perimenopause process."
On the other hand, Amy also addressed the speculations surrounding her split from husband Chris Fischer. "Whatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we can make it through, he's the best," Amy Schumer wrote.
