Buckingham Palace shares major update about Prince William amid decision to skip King Charles private Christmas lunch
Prince William, like his father King Charles, sees the monarchy as a force for positive change
Buckingham Palace has shared major update about Prince William amid claims the Prince of Wales has decided to skip King Charles private Christmas lunch after the monarch’s invitation to Andrew.
Royal expert Rob Shuter has claimed that the future king will reportedly skip King Charles private Christmas lunch as royal tensions are boiling over as Andrew gets a private invite.
According to Rob Shuter, apparently after a year of nonstop disagreements, icy moments, and completely clashing ideas about the future of the monarchy, “William has decided he’s spending the holidays with the Middleton clan instead.”
He claimed, “I’ve been hearing whispers from inside the palace walls, and since I’m basically your best friend with a backstage pass to Windsor drama, I have to tell you this: Prince William is skipping King Charles’ Christmas lunch again. Yes, again. And trust me — this isn’t about scheduling. This is about tension thick enough to spread on a scone.”
Amid these claims, the palace shared on its official website “01 December 2025, The Prince of Wales will visit KLA UK, Celtic Way, Newport.”
The palace also announced “01 December 2025, The Prince of Wales will attend the Welsh Investment Summit, International Convention Centre Wales, Coldra Wood, Newport.”
Meanwhile, royal expert Richard Palmer has said Prince William, like his father King Charles, sees the monarchy as a force for positive change. “As Prince of Wales, he has taken some stick for supporting England at football but today he will be pulling out all the stops to support the Welsh economy.”
The royal expert added, “William, 43, will travel to Newport to attend the Wales Investment Summit during a day of engagements in which he hopes to celebrate Wales's leading industries and help position it as a prime destination for national and international investors.
“At the summit, hosted by the devolved Welsh government, he will make a speech championing the country's economy.”
