Charlie Puth to perform national anthem at 2026 Super Bowl
The Super Bowl 2026 will be played at Levi's Stadium on February 8, 2026
Charlie Puth is up for the 2026 Super Bowl’s pre-game entertainment!
The US National Football League (NFL) has unveiled its lineup for the star-studded celebrities taking part at Super Bowl LX pre-game’s show on 8 February next year.
Ahead of Bad Bunny's performance at the 60th Super Bowl's half time show at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Puth will perform the national anthem.
He will be joined on stage by Grammy Award-winning singer Brandi Carlile, who will sing America the Beautiful, and R&B singer and former Disney star Coco Jones, who will perform Lift Every Voice and Sing.
"Super Bowl Sunday is the world's biggest entertainment stage, and we're proud to spotlight artists who embody the very best of music and culture," Jon Barker, NFL senior VP of global event production, said in a statement.
Jay Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, is programming the event as CEO Desiree Perez gushed, "Charlie, Brandi and Coco are generational talents, and we are honoured to have them on Super Bowl LX's world stage. This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance, and our country, perfectly kicking off game day."
The news comes after the We Don't Talk Anymore singer addressed rumours that he auditioned for the hit Wicked films.
"I never auditioned for Wicked. I would be so bad lol," Charlie Puth clarified via X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday, after a fan shared a list of actors and performers who allegedly auditioned for parts in the 2024 film and its 2025 sequel.
The list also included Jennifer Lopez, Sean Mendes, Renee Rapp, Katy Perry, Harry Styles, Amanda Seyfried, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Dove Cameron, Lea Michele and Jesse J.
