Laura Dern marks late mother Diane Ladd's milestone day with emotional tribute
Laura Dern is remembering her late mom, actress Diane Ladd, on what would have been her 90th birthday.
Laura took to her Instagram account on Saturday to pen down a heartwarming post while sharing a throwback black and white snap of Diane.
“Happy birthday to my hero, the most extraordinary person I have ever known, on what would be her 90th today,” the 58-year-old dotting daughter wrote.
Laura went on to say, “As an artist and human being, you were always loving, always dreaming, always creating, and ever in service for all."
She concluded her post by expressing her love for her late mom, she added, "I love you, Mom.”
For those unversed, Diane recently passed away on November 23 due to hypoxic respiratory failure. She was 89.
Laura released an official statement to announce the death of her mother at the time, which read, "My amazing hero and my profound gift of a mother, Diane Ladd, passed with me beside her this morning, at her home in Ojai, Calif.”
"She was the greatest daughter, mother, grandmother, actress, artist and empathetic spirit that only dreams could have seemingly created," she continued. "We were blessed to have her. She is flying with her angels now."
Diane was known for her hit movie and TV roles, including Wild at Heart and Rambling Rose, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and was also nominated for Oscar and Emmy awards.
