Prince William has embraced a new hobby that his wife, Kate Middleton, already loves.
The Prince of Wales, 43, recently shared his fondness for cold water swimming during a visit to North Wales on Tuesday.
Prince William had joined members of the Marine Conservation Society’s Youth Ocean Network in Colwyn Bay at the time and met the Colwyn Bay Blue Tits, a local cold-water swimming group.
“You feel great afterwards,” he told swimmers, adding with a laugh, “I love it. I do a lot of yelling and screaming when I get in.” The prince revealed he’s tried cold dips in Scotland, home to Balmoral Castle, where the royal family has vacationed for generations.
His love for the chilly pastime came after, in 2023, he teased Kate, 43, for her own love of cold water swimming. On The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast, Kate admitted she sought out cold swims “even when it’s dark and raining.”
"The colder, the better," Prince William interjected. "The colder, the better. I absolutely love it," she agreed. "Slightly to the point where William's like, 'Catherine, you're crazy,'" she added with a laugh.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are also raising their children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7, with a passion for sports.
