DC under James Gunn and Peter Safran has presumably started from scratch, and as the young studio is growing.
His co-head now shares updates on several projects, including Man of Tomorrow, Lanterns, and Supergirl, among others.
Taking to Threads, James was asked about his average day. On this, he replies, “The fun of the job is there is no average day!”
On the Superman follow-up story Man of Tomorrow, he shares, “The majority of days currently are spent prepping Man of Tomorrow - storyboarding & department meetings & scouting & casting."
Regarding Lanterns and Supergirl, James notes, “Interspersed with going over cuts of Supergirl & Lanterns, discussing marketing on all the projects.”
The director on the much-anticipated The Batman: Part II adds, “Reading & making notes on new scripts, supporting the Batman 2 crew to make sure it goes smoothly.”
While updating on Clayface, the filmmaker says, “Waiting for 1st cut of Clayface (can't wait!), okaying designs for all kinds of stuff, & I'm sure many things I'm forgetting."
It is worth noting that Man of Tomorrow will go into production next year and it's expected to come out in 2027.
