Benjamin Hollingsworth has finally spilled the beans on what is about to happen in the seventh season of Virgin River.
For those unaware, towards the end of season 6, the 41-year-old Canadian actor’s character Dan Brady was hit with a major blow after his girlfriend Lark (played by Elise Gatien) abandoned the town, stealing all of his money.
Sharing his thoughts about that scene, Hollingsworth told PEOPLE magazine, "Lark bails and jumps ship, and she's on the run with his money, so of course Brady has to try and figure this out.”
“He goes to try and find Lark. He tracks her down and really figures out what to do with the money once he gets it. I think that's a big question for him, and it's one that's maybe a little more complex than he thought when he first went out to try and find her,” he added.
In the final episode of season six, Brady also opened up about his feelings for his on-again, off-again love Brie (played by Zibby Allen).
People are asking ,“what's going to happen with Brie and Brady?” Reflecting on the “big question,” the Joy Ride 3 star explained, "Mike [played by Marco Grazzini] also proposed to Brie, so there's a lot to reconcile and to figure out the season between Brie and Brady and Mike and Brie.”
“I won't say that the love triangle necessarily continues, but I will say that it's a season-long journey that I think will have its ups and downs and moments where fans can really feel happy and moments where fans can feel frustrated,” Benjamin Hollingsworth stated.
It is pertinent to mention that Netflix has renewed River Virgin for the eighth season, but it has not yet revealed the release date of season seven.
According to Deadline, it has become the longest-running English-language drama series on the streamer.
