Jessie J slams A list ex boyfriend in scathing song
Jessie J clearly hinted who the song is about
Jessie J has slammed her ex-boyfriend Channing Tatum in a new song.
In her new song Threw It Away, Jessie branded Tatum a "beast" and warned him that "karma is gonna come one day."
The Bang Bang hitmaker is putting out a new album titled Don't Tease Me With A Good Time amid her cancer battle.
Jessie and the 21 Jump Street star dated from 2018 through 2020, and the heartthrob left the singer hurt, per the lyrics.
"I put my heart out on the table, that's when it got uncomfortable. But oh that karma is gonna come one day, cause I gave you my love and you threw it away," sings Jessie.
"Don't you dare rewrite the story. I'm the beauty, you're the beast," she added.
While it wasn’t crystal clear from the lyrics who the song is about, Jessie told the crowd at a listening event: "This next song I wrote in 2020 with Ryan Tedder, and you can figure out who I was dating."
This comes after Jessie informed fans that she went through a mastectomy in June as part of her breast cancer treatment. She was told she would need another surgery, but that got postponed after she had already canceled her tour.
"Some of you may know, some of you may not know, I was supposed to have a second breast surgery two weeks ago," she told fans in an Instagram clip.
"So a week before my surgery I went to my surgeon and we discussed my surgery and it felt a little more complex than he was anticipating and referred me to a different surgeon who I then saw, had a meeting with who said: 'I think this can wait a little while.'"
