Naturi Naughton says motherhood is 'really powerful'
Naturi Naughton opens up about the challenges a working mom faces and asks people to 'never underestimate a woman'
Naturi Naughton recently shared how she feels as an actress and working mother.
The 41-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress attended Variety's Power of Women 2025, where she conversed with PEOPLE magazine about her feelings after becoming a mother and balancing it with her career in Hollywood.
Naughton said that being a working mother can be challenging at times, but it is “really powerful.”
The mother of two quipped, "Being a mother, although challenging, it feels really powerful. I think that it's hard work to do that as a working actress, but when I do it and I do it well, I'm like, 'Yes, I can do anything.' I feel so empowered as a mom, so I think that's one of the ways that I do feel powerful."
She went on to applaud women from the heart and emphasise that people should "never underestimate a woman."
The Lottery Ticker star remarked, "We're we're the most, I think multifaceted. You can never sleep on a woman. You can never underestimate a woman, and I think that's what makes events like this so special because there's power in each and every one of us."
It is pertinent to mention that Naturi Naughton welcomed her daughter Zuri in 2017 from a previous relationship, while she had her son Tru in 2013 during her marriage to Two Lewis.
