According to the New York Times, the horrifying accident happened, when Quezada was riding his motorbike in the Globe of Death mesh circle during a performance and suddenly lost control, plummeting to the bottom of the spherical cage and causing two other riders to collide.
His death was confirmed through a statement released on Facebook by Imperial Royal Circus.

“Christian, you will always be in our hearts—you were a great artist,” the statement added.
Mayor of Sant’ Anastasia, Italy, Carmine Esposito, also released a statement expressing condolence.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Christian, as well as to all the circuses and pray for his colleague, who is currently hospitalized.”
“I know that yesterday there were many children at the show, and I regret that fate wanted them to witness such a tragedy—may his soul rest in peace,” the mayor added.
About 'Globe of Death'
Globe of Death is a circus or carnival stunt where riders show their stunts riding motorbikes inside a mesh sphere ball.
It is quite similar to the Wall of Death, with a small difference between both acts.
In the Wall of Death act, the riders can only ride bikes in one direction, while in the Globe of Death, the motorcyclists can ride bikes-both vertically and horizontally.
The bikes used in the acts are mostly dirt bikes.
