Aaron Paul reveals he moved to Paris with wife and kids after LA fires
The 'Breaking Bad' star says the California wildfires gave him and his wife Lauren a wake-up call
Aaron Paul has moved to Europe for a fresh start following the deadly California wildfires earlier this year.
Seeing the destruction in L.A., the Breaking Bad star and his wife, Lauren, sold their house, packed their bags, and moved to Paris with their two children.
“When the fires happened in LA, we just knew that we were done with L.A., so we sold our house in LA and moved to Paris,” Paul, 46, told the Daily Mail at an F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix event on Friday, November 21.
The Bojack Horseman alum explained that he and Lauren — who got married in 2013 in a Paris-themed Malibu wedding — have “always dreamt of doing a year abroad” and “wanted to be around a completely different culture.”
But what finally pushed them to make the move was their kids — daughter Story Annabelle, 7, and son Ryden Caspian, 2.
“We went out there for the kiddos,” Paul admitted. He called Paris an “awesome” city, and is in no hurry to move back to the U.S.
The Pauls’ lavish home in Los Feliz neighbourhood of L.A., California, was first put on the market for $10 million in July, according to People magazine. Known as the Seyler House, it has previously been home to many other celebrities, including Tim Curry, Robert Pattinson, and Kim Parsons.
In a statement with People at the time, Paul called the house a “safe haven for my family” where they were “lucky to have experienced so much life” over the years. He added, “We will forever hold this home and its history close to our heart.”
