Zayn Malik admits being inspired to movie '8 Mile'
Zayn Malik has revealed that he is a big fan of the rap legend, Eminem.
The 32-year-0ld not just admires the work of the rapper, but also believes that there are some really strong similarities between his life and the 53-year-old songwriter.
The Dusk Till Dawn singer opened that he initially felt inspired by his movie 8 Mile as he saw a reflection of his childhood in the film. Zayn could relate to the movie personally.
In his recent appearance at BBC Radio 1, Malik added, "I remember watching Eight Mile for the first time when I was growing up in Bradford and that movie inspired me.”
The 8 Mile movie highlighted the struggles of the rapper trying to deal with his messed up life. He has to use his rap skills to succeed in a rapping contest as it could be his last chance to get out of the ghetto.
The PILLOWTALK singer said that whatever Eminem did and overcame, it made him feel inspired.
He added, "It felt like he was growing up in a similar environment to me. The things he overcame and did were incredibly inspiring.
Zayn confessed that "Eminem will always be one of the top rappers in my book."
Malik could also relate to the film as he himself auditioned as a solo artist in X-Factor in 2010.
