IShowSpeed crowned Streamer of the Year at Esports Awards 2025
IShowSpeed has amassed over 2.45 million followers on Twitch
Esports Awards 2025 were held in Las Vegas on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, marking a decade of honouring and celebrating the players, creators and games.
Honours across 24 different categories were awarded.
American streamer Darren Watkins, famously known as IShowSpeed, won the prestigious Streamer of the Year award. He stood tall among other nominees, including Kai Cenat and Ibai Llanos.
Watkins shared a pre-recorded message after being announced as the Streamer of the Year 2025. He thanked fans for their support and said, “I want to give a huge thanks to everybody who voted for me, a huge thanks to my fans and anybody who supported me, I love y’all.”
The 20-year-old YouTube sensation added, “I am going to keep working harder to give the best content, the best streams.”
This is the first time that IShowSpeed has clinched the award, as he lost in 2024 to Mexican Twitch streamer Samanta “Rivers” Rivera Trevino.
Watkins’ community-driven approach and consistent content output has made him a popular figure across the world.
The social media personality has amassed over 2.45 million followers on Twitch, nearly 46 million subscribers on YouTube, 42 million on Instagram and 43 million on TikTok.
The award marks a major milestone in IShowSpeed’s career as a streamer, giving him the recognition his followers think he deserved.
Fans appeared delighted by the announcement, as many took to X and replied to the ESport Awards post with one writing, “Man went from barking on stream to winning awards… the character development is INSANE.”
Another wrote, “IShowSpeed trusted the process and stayed consistent.”
