Elon Musk hits back at Billie Eilish after she calls him ‘coward’
Eilish has been outspoken about billionaires accumulating wealth
Elon Musk has clapped back at the singer Billie Eilish after the singer called him out for hoarding wealth instead of using it to solve global crises.
The tech billionaire has hit back, challenging the intelligence of the 23-year-old musician. Taking to X, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO replied to a post from an Eilish fan account, writing, “She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.”
One of the most blistering celebrity call-outs of the year comes after the nine-time Grammy Award winner shared a series of statistics from an NGO showing how much the business maestro can spend every year to solve global crises.
The slides suggested Musk could spend:
- $40 billion to end world hunger by 2030
- $140 billion to provide safe drinking water to the entire planet
- $1-2 billion annually to save critically endangered species
- $53.2 billion to rebuild Gaza and West Bank
The slides on the singer’s Instagram highlights ended with sharp criticism. She wrote, “F**king pathetic p**sy b**ch coward.”
Eilish has been outspoken about billionaires accumulating wealth and not spending it to solve issues.
Recently, at the WSJ Magazine’s Innovator Awards, where she received the Music Innovator Award, the singer called out billionaires in audience, including Meta head Mark Zuckerberg and George Lucas.
She said, “If you are a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties.”
Eilish’s own net worth is estimated to be about $50 million.
